How to make banana loaf

Good afternoon all you bakery lovers. Today we will be talking about banana bread. At the MF Headquarters, we decided to make a banana loaf and we were mesmerised at how much impact the implementation of our MF Cinnamon and Nutmeg had on the taste of the bread. In a climate where it’s constantly raining and riddled with freezing conditions, we often find ourselves stuck in the house with nothing to do and making banana bread could be a perfect way to entertain ourselves during the day. Firstly, let’s look at the history of banana read, where did it actually come from? It wasn’t until the 1900s that bananas were available in the united states as a result of the antithetical climate to southeast Asia. Once basic refrigeration was improved the transportation of bananas increased and they became more readily available to American consumers. Bananas then became incorporated into baking during the 1930s as a result of the great depression and an increase in baking soda and powder mass production. The combination of these two events collided to create the banana bread craze.

Ingredients:

-          2 cups of flour

-          1 ½ teaspoon of baking powder

-          1 teaspoon of baking soda

-          4 very ripe bananas

-          2 eggs

-          1 cup of sugar

-          1 teaspoon MF Cinnamon

-          ½ teaspoon salt

-          ½ teaspoon MF Nutmeg

-          ¼ teaspoon ground cloves

-          ½ cup melted butter

-          1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method:

1)      Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour two 8 by 3-inch loaf pans. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and baking soda then set aside.

2)      Mash the bananas, eggs, sugar, MF Cinnamon, salt, MF Nutmeg, and cloves together in a large bowl with a fork until well combined. Stir in the melted butter and vanilla extract, then fold in the flour mixture until a batter forms and no dry lumps remain. Pour into the prepared loaf pans.

3)      Bake in preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean, about 45 minutes. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove from the pan and allow to cool completely on a wire rack.

Benefits of nutmeg

Good morning my MF Products Blog readers, today we’re going to be looking at the benefits of MF Nutmeg . Nutmeg is popularly known as Jatiphal and Jaiphal in India. It’s one of the oldest spices, like pepper and clove and it’s been cultivated for over 1000 years. Nutmeg is a spice made from the seed of Myristica fragrans, a tropical tree that is native to the Banda island of Indonesia but also commonly grown in the Caribbean and other tropical areas of the world such as the St John Parish in Jamaica. When it comes to the actual characteristics, the nutmeg seed is oval-shaped, about an inch long, slightly wrinkled, dark brown on the outside and light brown on the inside. For centuries nutmeg has been treasured for its flavour, aroma, and medicinal properties throughout the world.   In regard to MF Nutmegs taste, it’s something quite extraordinary. It possesses this sweet, spicy yet woody sensation. It’s almost as if Christmas comes early with MF Nutmeg. Did you know nutmeg has cooling
