How does caffeine keep us awake?

Caffeine, caffeine, caffeine. What is caffeine? What does it do? How do we use it? How does it keep us awake? Well, today I’m going to answer all of these long-awaited questions. Why? Because we, at MF Coffee, thrive on informing you guys on everything that's about coffee. It’s just what we do.

The purpose in caffeine is to make us feel elated, energetic, and attentive. You could get a minimal amount of sleep and it will still find a way to provide you with that boost you so desperately need.

So, what exactly gives caffeine that energising sensation? Well, in the human body, caffeine acts as a type of stimulant for the central nervous system. It keeps us awake by blocking out the key sleep molecule called adenosine. This is created by our beautiful brain. The process then continues as our bodies NEED a constant supply of energy. The way our body gets this energy is by breaking down adenosine triphosphate (also known as ATP) in the process. Infusing with MF Coffee’s smooth liquidity will allows the molecule to get into your bloodstream faster which will then go directly to the muscles needed (including the brain) in order to give all the required organs a giant wake up call. (Same way you guys need a wake up call to head over to mfproducts.co.uk !)

Caffeine is what is called an adenosine receptor antagonist, which means that it disrupts the process of slowing neurons down by blocking the adenosine molecules. This is what makes you sleepy. By blocking them and stopping the production of this chemical, caffeine as a result makes you more alert and attentive.

So how does it continue to keep you awake? After you taken that delicious gulp of MF Coffee the caffeine then loosens the dopamine receptors which is the ‘mood lifting molecule’. As caffeine replaces the adenosine (which tightens the dopamine receptor) there are now greater opportunities for the dopamine to be released.

When the feeling of drinking a superb cup of MF Coffee is mixed with the elating sensation of dopamine, the caffeine and coffee work together to create a sense of alertness as your body wants to savour such an incredible moment for a prolonged period of time.

And that’s how caffeine keeps you awake. It restricts sleeping molecules and allows happy molecules to be released.

How to make the MF Soursop smoothie.

Good evening MF Blog readers, we hope you all are staying active during this cold Christmas season. As the year draws to a close, MF Products still have a variety of tasty recipes to broadcast and this week we will be looking at how we can use our MF Soursop to make some delightful treats. Today we will be making our very own MF Soursop smoothie with bananas and almonds. We chose bananas due it’s alpha and beta carotene content when consumed by the body, this then turns in vitamin A. Bananas are also a good source of potassium and due to its low water content, it contains more calories and is more filling. This pairs wonderfully with the benefits of soursop (previously mentioned in another blog) as it; possesses antioxidants, fights against bacteria, and boosts the immune system. Almonds are also very beneficial as they contain unsaturated fats, fibre, magnesium as well as protein. When adding all three ingredients together, this is a very healthy smoothie that will help to ...

What is the best type of coffee?

Today, we saw a reader ask, “Out of all the different types of coffee, which one is the best?” and we believe it’s a great question. However, we also think that it depends on what you’re drinking for and that is what we will be investing in todays MF Blog . So, without further ado let’s get into this. A good cup of coffee is one that does whatever job it is that you assign it. Whether it be the most rank, percolated cup of coffee that you’re in dire need off for that extra boost or the most complex mocha made with MF Coffee that finesses your tongue with a touch of foam while you eat an olive shortbread. I know, fancy. The point is that there are so many variations of coffee to tickle your fancy. So, given that there are lattes, cappuccinos, and mochas the point this is that, while the ingredients are simple, the experience is not. There is nothing crazy about ordering a capp...
