Benefits of nutmeg

Good morning my MF Products Blog readers, today we’re going to be looking at the benefits of MF Nutmeg. Nutmeg is popularly known as Jatiphal and Jaiphal in India. It’s one of the oldest spices, like pepper and clove and it’s been cultivated for over 1000 years. Nutmeg is a spice made from the seed of Myristica fragrans, a tropical tree that is native to the Banda island of Indonesia but also commonly grown in the Caribbean and other tropical areas of the world such as the St John Parish in Jamaica. When it comes to the actual characteristics, the nutmeg seed is oval-shaped, about an inch long, slightly wrinkled, dark brown on the outside and light brown on the inside. For centuries nutmeg has been treasured for its flavour, aroma, and medicinal properties throughout the world.

In regard to MF Nutmegs taste, it’s something quite extraordinary. It possesses this sweet, spicy yet woody sensation. It’s almost as if Christmas comes early with MF Nutmeg.
Did you know nutmeg has cooling properties? Of course, you didn’t! But it is indeed true. The cooling properties which I am referring to are the ones you experience when you eat mint. In mint the compound responsible for the cooling sensation is I-Menthol. However, menthol has a weak and short-lived effect. Scientists were able to isolate a compound in nutmeg found in the class of chemicals of neolignans. It was found to be 30 times more potent as I-menthol. Therefore, meaning it has greater cooling properties as opposed Ingredients.

Research conducted by medical professionals have showed that there are a variety of health benefits associated with nutmeg. Firstly, its antioxidant properties. Nutmeg has been shown to contain a collection of antioxidant compounds. Test tube studies have also shown that nutmeg extract exhibits powerful antioxidant effects against free radicals. The antioxidants prevent the onset and progression of many chronic conditions, such as certain cancers and heart and neurodegenerative diseases.

The second property of MF Nutmeg is anti-bacterial. Recent studies have been shown that nutmeg has antibacterial effects against potentially harmful strains of bacteria. Harmful strains such as Streptococcus mutans and Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans. None of these long-winded words mean anything to you however it’s great to just know the terminology, you know? Anyways, studies showed that the extract from nutmeg was very powerful which were scientifically proven to fight against dental cavities and gum disease.

One of the last properties of nutmeg is it’s anti-inflammatory benefits. Research has shown that chronic inflammation is linked to many adverse health conditions, such as heart disease, diabetes, and arthritis. MF Nutmeg possesses great compounds called monoterpenes, including sabinene, terpineol and pinene. These compounds are very effective in reducing the inflammation In your body. One study injected rats with an inflammation-producing solution and then gave some of them nutmeg oil. Rats that consumed the oil experienced significant reductions in inflammation, inflammation-related pain, and joint swelling.

What can coffee do for your skin?

Good morning everyone, welcome back to another edition of The MF Products Blog. Today we’re going to be looking at coffee and what it can do for you cosmetically. Specifically, the largest organ on your body. No, its not the liver. It’s in fact, the skin. Yes! The skin that’s all over your body is indeed an organ and since it’s everywhere we should take the most care with it. At least that’s what we think at MF Products .   Anyways, many people go through life having sensitive skin and they endure this treacherous and tedious search in trying to find that ‘special’ cream that will magically dispose of any breakouts or redness when really there’s a game changer right in front of them (not literally, but you get where I’m going with this). The truth is… MF Coffee has been the saviour this whole time. In fact, a study was published that showed that Japanese women between the ages of 30 to 60 who drank coffee had significantly less markers of aging. So that meant less wrinkles ...

How to make the MF Seamoss face mask.

Facecare is arguably the most underlooked aspect of self-care on the human body, ironically, it’s the most sensitive part too. As a result, a great deal of these products on the high street shelves claim to be good for the skin but in reality, are not. The chemicals and toxins inputted in these products are artificial and therefore struggle to benefit the skin. In fact, in most case scenarios, they make the skin worse. That’s why the MF team decided to create a facecare blog today because we care about not just our customers but society as a whole too. This, therefore, brings us to the creation of the MF Seamoss facemask. The contents inside sea moss are, of course, natural and healthy for the body. This means, if they’re healthy for the body, they must be healthy for the skin too. You will need: -           MF Seamoss gel (check out our previous blog on how to make that) -           Chlor...

What is the best type of coffee?

Good evening my MF Product Blog readers, it’s been a while but we’re back with more content for you guys. Today, we saw a reader ask, “Out of all the different types of coffee, which one is the best?” and we believe it’s a great question. However, we also think that it depends on what you’re drinking for and that is what we will be investing in todays MF Blog . So, without further ado let’s get into this. A good cup of coffee is one that does whatever job it is that you assign it. Whether it be the most rank, percolated cup of coffee that you’re in dire need off for that extra boost or the most complex mocha made with MF Coffee that finesses your tongue with a touch of foam while you eat an olive shortbread. I know, fancy. The point is that there are so many variations of coffee to tickle your fancy. So, given that there are lattes, cappuccinos, and mochas the point this is that, while the ingredients are simple, the experience is not. There is nothing crazy about ordering a capp...
