How to make a Gin and MF Coffee Martini

Good evening my MF readers, we’re back again with another blog and today we hope you’re ready because after reading this you’re going to WANT to make this recipe. This recipe isn’t just for any occasion, it’s the perfect beverage for when you’re trying to lay down and relax and enjoy the rest of your evening. We present to you… the Gin and MF Coffee Martini! I’m sure some of you are surprised, however, we’ve evaluated and tried the use of various spirits, and we found that the distinct taste of gin paired exceptionally well our luxurious espresso. Of course, the team couldn’t consume too much (we’re responsible professionals) however, we thoroughly enjoyed it. The gin fans (we know there’s a lot you) are sure to be delighted when they hear of this new concoction produced by MF Products. I’m sure you’re ready to grab the ingredients and make your own martini, so here you are:

- 50ml gin, such as Sipsmith London Dry Gin

- 25ml MF Espresso

- 25ml coffee liqueur, triple sec or simple syrup (see tips)

- 3 MF Coffee beans or an orange twist, to garnish

Method:

1)     Combine the ingredients in an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake very well. Look for the ‘crema’, as baristas call (the foam on top of a good espresso), built by shaking the drink a little harder than other drinks.

2)      Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with MF Coffee beans or an orange twist.

So that’s the Gin and MF CoffeeMartini, simple and packs a punch!

How to make the MF Soursop smoothie.

Good evening MF Blog readers, we hope you all are staying active during this cold Christmas season. As the year draws to a close, MF Products still have a variety of tasty recipes to broadcast and this week we will be looking at how we can use our MF Soursop to make some delightful treats. Today we will be making our very own MF Soursop smoothie with bananas and almonds. We chose bananas due it’s alpha and beta carotene content when consumed by the body, this then turns in vitamin A. Bananas are also a good source of potassium and due to its low water content, it contains more calories and is more filling. This pairs wonderfully with the benefits of soursop (previously mentioned in another blog) as it; possesses antioxidants, fights against bacteria, and boosts the immune system. Almonds are also very beneficial as they contain unsaturated fats, fibre, magnesium as well as protein. When adding all three ingredients together, this is a very healthy smoothie that will help to ...

Benefits of pimento (also known as allspice).

Before we get into the benefits of pimento, at MF Products UK we believe we must look at a foods history first and learn about its origin. So, without further ado let’s look into pimento which is also known as allspice. The pimento tree is indigenous to the Caribbean Islands. It was found growing in Jamaica by early Spanish explorers who were quite impressed with its tantalising taste and aroma of the berries and the leaves. Pimento trees were then later discovered in Cuba and were presumed to have been taken there by migrant birds who had eaten the berries. They have also been found in Mexico, but it is Jamaica that has the longest history, having been in continuous production since the tree was identified in about the year 1509. The name Pimento originated from the Spanish word "pimienta" which meant ‘peppercorn’. To most English-speaking people the tree is called "pimento" and the berries "allspice". The name allspice originated from the widespread n...
