Does coffee help suppress your appetite?

Good afternoon my fellow MF blog readers, what a beautiful day today am I right? Anyways, I was scrolling through my DM’s and a fellow reader asked if “ MF Coffee would help supress [their] diet” and I just thought to myself, “what a great question” so without further ado let’s get into it. As you many of you know already a cup of MF Coffee will have a chemical called caffeine in it which is the stimulant of the Central Nervous System. When taken in moderation, it can really do wonders for your body. Caffeine is an effective ergogenic which improves athletic performance. It spares muscle glycogen and delays fatigue. Coffee also contains chlorogenic acid. This is where the discussion gets interesting because chlorogenic acid helps in controlling hunger pangs. So, the hypothesis that coffee can suppress your appetite does have an element of truth in it. There are three hormones around the stomach area of the body.   Ghrelin, Leptin & Peptide YY. Ghrelin is an appetite stimula

How to make a Mocha at home.

Good evening guys, it’s MF Products back with another coffee recipe. Today we’re going to be showing you how to make a Mocha MF style. We believe that after you discover our technique, you’ll be making Mochas all day every day. Now, I cannot lie, it’s no secret that our morning gets started as soon as the coffee starts flowing. It’s just not a very good idea for us to try anything productive until I’ve had at least three or four sips of my liquid gold in the mornings. Our brains are just trying to get in gear until the juices are flowing – and the quickest way to get mine flowing is with coffee but also experimenting with coffee and trying new things. This goes for those average joes that make the same espresso every morning. Like come on! Snap out of it! But anyways these mochas so easy to make, you won’t ever need to go to another coffee shop again, all you will need is a packet of MF Coffee , hot chocolate, cinnamon, and milk. Step 1: Brew your coffee -           Brew your c

Seriously, what is third wave coffee?

What is ‘third wave’ coffee? Seriously? You don’t know? Before we delve in we must look at what second wave coffee was. Second wave coffee is usually seen as the movement towards high quality beans, espresso-based drinks, and darker roasts. Technically ‘third wave’ coffee is a response to both the darker roasts and the more mass-produced brewed coffee and espresso drinks. In terms of roasting before third wave coffee, many believed that massive corporations were roasting their beans too dark which often left consumer with a burnt taste when drink their coffee. Newer corporations such as, MF Coffee , will feel as though that a lighter roast better shows off the true flavours as opposed to older businesses. In terms of brewing coffee, third wavers tend to use a variety of brews as a way of experimenting the best ways to extract the flavours from the beans. Brews such as pour-over, french-press and aero-press. In essence with third wave coffee there is a greater emphasis on attention to

Can you put butter in your coffee?

To be honest, when I first heard of it I thought it sounded pretty gross. Buttery coffee? It sounded like something you’d have to force down while holding your nose . Some people on a ketogenic, or low carbohydrate diet will add butter to their coffee to help them increase their daily fat intake and also to help in reducing their appetite. I must say, after drinking this “butter coffee” myself, I can say that it helps on both fronts. However, If you are watching your fat intake for any reason, this is definitely not going to be the beverage for you. If you’d like to try putting some butter in your coffee, MF Coffee advises to start out with just a tablespoon of melted butter. The maximum we have ever added is 2 tablespoons. We believe that if you add too much fat initially, you may find yourself unexpectedly sprinting to the bathroom and this is absolutely not good. With the extensive testing conducted, we find that butter goes much better with darker coffee grounds (which can b

How did coffee become such a popular beverage?

Coffee became a popular global beverage due to a series of unique historical events. These events built one upon the other to eventually create what we have today, where now coffee is the 2nd most traded product in the world, beaten only by oil. So, how did it happen? Well at MF Coffee we’re here to find out. Firstly, we have to look at its discovery. In the 600’s the legend claims that coffee's discovery began by the goat herder Kaldi in Abyssinia, which is contemporarily known as Ethiopia. Then, 400 years later in Avicenna, Muslim physicians and philosophers, and other Arabian physicians began using coffee, which they call ‘bunchum’, for its medicinal properties. It wasn’t even until the 1200’s where the Turkish people discovered the flavour enhancements achieved by roasting the coffee beans. Unsurprisingly, cultivation had to be adopted, which was done by Yemen in which they began to sell the coffee to Arabian traders. This introduction of trade then led to the concept of act

What is healthier: coffee with milk or without milk?

So, you want to know if you should have your coffee creamy and smooth or strong and black? Well, both options are excellent variations to have your coffee especially if the coffee you’re drinking is MF Coffee , cultivated in the Jamaican Blue Mountains. But back to the question, which is better to drink? This is what you’re here to find out. If you’re one to count the calories and you simply despise anything that will jeopardise that weight-loss plan you’ve been trying to stick to for years – yes, I said “trying” and I said “years”, we both know you’ve given up on the downlow. Anyways, if you are that constant calorie counter then, regularly brewed coffee without milk would be the better option. Did you know that black brewed coffee has under 10 calories in a 12 oz serving   with basically zero fat. Obviously, the number of potential calories a milk-brewed cup of coffee could possess depends on the type of milk you use, at MF Coffee, for a low-fat alternative we would suggest almon

Is coffee good before a workout?

For those who work out, its safe to say that a boost of energy before you exercise is almost imperative. It quite literally makes or break the session.  When working out one of factors you want to consider is how can you increase muscle mass. Now, whilst the idea of drinking coffee to build muscle may sound imprudent, surprisingly there has been studies that scientifically prove a positive correlation. One study (conducted by the journal of sports medicine and physical fitness in 2015), examined the effects of acute caffeine absorption in resistance trained males. The study looked at two exercises, the leg press, and the bench press. The participants were instructed to perform 3 sets till failure on each exercise. The results of these tests found that participants who ingested caffeine prior to resistance training, could complete almost 20% more repetitions over 3 sets on leg presses and over 11.5% repetitions over 3 sets on the bench press. So, from looking at this data, the idea
